Fall 2016

The fall semester of my junior year was packed full of science classes and few design courses. I took one studio class and participated in one show. I enjoyed the brief time I spent sewing garments for classes this semester. In order to keep my sewing skills up (and my sanity), I made some other items that were not for classes.

Fashion Draping

For this class, I draped a blouse, two dresses, and jacket. These projects taught me more about draping and how to make garments without drafting tedious paper patterns. One of my two dresses is the couture dress shown in the gallery below.

Couture for a Cause 2016

I created both a couture dress and a ready-to-wear dress for Couture for a Cause this year. I enjoyed participating and found the experience very rewarding.
